Supporting the Next Generation of Arbitration Practitioners
Tbilisi, 3 March 2026
Gvelebiani Law was proud to support the XV Tbilisi Vis Pre-Moot, organised by Arbitration Initiative Georgia. For fifteen years, the Pre-Moot has brought an international legal-education event to Georgia, built and sustained by the local legal community. This year's winning team was the Free University of Tbilisi Vis Moot Team — congratulations to them and to all the best speakers.
Earlier this year, the Georgian Association of Arbitrators (GAA) released the final episode of the first season of its podcast series, on the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards. Over six months, the series became a free, end-to-end course in arbitration in Georgian — from the arbitration agreement to enforcement of the award — available on YouTube and Spotify.
Gvelebiani Law is one of the series' sponsors and financed several episodes, including episode 12 on the GAA's new accelerated accreditation course, in which founding partner Jaba Gvelebiani joined Otar Machaidze and Davit Tabatadze. Jaba was also among the season's guest experts.
We thank the GAA and Arbitration Initiative Georgia for their work, and we will continue to support initiatives that make arbitration knowledge accessible to students and practitioners in Georgia.
