Gvelebiani Law Supports Ilia State University's Jessup Moot Court Team

Gvelebiani Law is proud to have been among the supporters of the Ilia State University Law School team at the international rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C.

The team — Master's students Mariam Koberidze, Mariam Jighauri, Nino Shelia and Mariam Jikidze, coached by Ilia State University alumna Mariam Taganashvili — earned its place by winning the Georgian national rounds. In Washington, it competed against 165 teams from more than 100 countries.

The team's written submissions were ranked among the 35 best memorials worldwide and were nominated for the M. Cherif Bassiouni award for excellence in written advocacy.

Congratulations to the students and their coach on an outstanding result. We were glad to stand alongside fellow supporters Suknidze & Partners, NB Legal, GRATA International Georgia, VBAT, Toradze & Partners, Nodia, Urumashvili & Partners and Eurofasad.
